About me

I am doctor in science, graduated in 2011 at the University of Kiel in Germany, in collaboration with the university of Aix-Marseille in France.

My research focuses on investigating the forest dynamics in central European and Mediterranean areas, based on analytical and prospective approaches, at complementary and integrated spatio-temporal scales.

The main steps of my research are (1) to reconstruct the past forest changes, (2) to identify the determinism of the past forest changes to assess their level of naturalness, (3) to gathered insights in terms of forest resistance, resilience, and adaptation, aiming to contribute to forest sustainable/conservation/restoration planning and management, through naturalness assessment.
